Founded in the summer of 2013, Almaghili International Academy stands as a beacon of excellence, dedicated to providing quality education at highly subsidized rates to students from diverse backgrounds. With a mission to lay an excellent foundation for the upbringing of young intellectuals who are well-versed in contemporary Western and Islamic education, the academy remains committed to producing morally upright and knowledgeable individuals. Our vision is to be a frontrunner institution in the pursuit of excellence in knowledge, religious and cultural discipline, and service to the nation at large.

The journey began with just ten pioneering pupils, five of whom were awarded scholarships, and three dedicated staff members who shared a passion for shaping young minds. Despite the humble beginning, the Academy's commitment to its goals has made it one of the leading educational institutions in the state and country at large.

Our growth has been steady and remarkable. Today, we proudly accommodate over 400 students and have a dedicated team of 62 highly skilled and professional staff members who ensure that learning is holistic and impactful. Our scholarship initiative remains one of the key pillars of our mission, with 82 students on full scholarships and 42 on 50% discount scholarships, reflecting our unwavering commitment to making quality education accessible to all, regardless of social class.

Almaghili International Academy has consistently demonstrated academic excellence and moral discipline, earning numerous accolades and recognitions. In 2017, the school received an ambassadorial position from the Independent Corrupt Practices & Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for its strong stance on moral discipline. That same year, the academy was accredited by the National Examination Council (NECO) for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), following a rigorous inspection by the Kano State Education and Research Department (KERD).

In 2018, the academy commenced external examinations, recording outstanding success. Our students emerged winners in the Tarauni Local Government Secondary School Quiz Competition, showcasing their intellectual prowess. Later that year, we earned accreditation from the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and NECO to conduct Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE), achieving a 100% success rate in the initial examinations. Since then, we have maintained an impressive success rate of no less than 90% in these critical examinations.

Our students have continued to excel in competitions at state, regional, and national levels. In 2019, Almaghili International Academy was honored with another ambassadorial position by the League for Societal Problem Against Drug Abuse (LESPADA) for its unwavering stance against drug abuse. That same year, our students qualified for the North-West regional finals of the Nigeria Spelling Bee Competition and later secured spots for the national finals.

Despite the challenges posed by insecurity in the country, we prioritized the safety of our students, making the difficult decision not to attend the finals. Nevertheless, our resolve to pursue academic excellence never wavered.

Post-lockdown in 2021, educational activities resumed fully, including field trips and educational excursions, integral parts of our learning process. In December 2021, our students participated in the Royal Olympiad National English Competition, with one of them emerging as the best JSS2 candidate in the state and two others ranking among the overall top ten.

In 2022, we participated in the Royal Olympiad National Mathematics Competition, where one of our students earned a bronze medal. That same year, another student emerged as the best essay writer in the entire North-West region in a competition organized by the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN).

Our journey has not been without challenges, but through the relentless determination, focus, and professionalism of our staff members, the unwavering support of the Almaghili Parent Teacher Forum (APTF), and the cooperation of parents and guardians, we have overcome numerous hurdles.

We are profoundly grateful for the support and encouragement from our stakeholders. Their trust and commitment have been instrumental in propelling us forward.
